Yesterday was sunny, beautiful….and hot! Luckily nobody melted too bad at Dale and Katy’s beautiful wedding at the arboretum. Here is a random sampling of their day.

A double decker took guests to the ceremony site

The best part for me? The food!! So good!

And the fact that they had ben and jerry’s instead of cake!

The title of this post is “energy” because these kids were full of just that! I decided the best approach was to just let them run, play, and be silly. I chased after them capturing their natural expressions and kids just being kids. Thanks for playing with me guys! It was a lot of fun!
Oh and see those cute hairbows? Their mom makes and sells them! Check them out here.

Here is something fun…a trash the dress session! These are typically done AFTER the ceremony…as the dress will get dirty. Most of the time everything can be dry cleaned out…but for those who really don’t care what happens to their dress we can get really daring.

Last night I met up with this sweetie for her 18 month pictures. I used my new funky chair my dad found for me. I’ve been doing a lot of session at the capitol lately. I love all the trees that frame the walks and lovely patches of flowers.

I love newborns. They are so soft, and curly, and cuddley. I especially like sleepy newborns…the ones that let me mold them into whatever position I want (almost anyway). So meet this afternoon’s newbie. Isn’t she sweet?
She was only awake for a short amount of time.

Then off to snoozville!

Last night I met up with Dani and Kevin. They are getting married in October. For their engagment session we started with a walk around the UCD arboretum, and then headed back to my favorite field in Winters for some sunset shots. What is an engagment sessions like me like?
Lots of staring into each others eyes…

Lots of kissing…

Some private moments…

and gorgeous backdrops!

Thanks so much guys!! I can’t wait until your wedding!!
