I know there will be some great images from a newborn session when the first shot I take results in this:

How cute is that?!?  It took a bit for little man to get comfy but once he did he looked quite comfy soaking up the beautiful surroundings!

Such a little doll!

I love engagement sessions..Its fun seeing couples in love interact.  These sessions also give me a chance to get to know the future Mr. and Mrs. and get them adjusted to my quirky style of shooting so we are all relaxed and comfortable when its comes to working with each other on the BIG DAY (man that was a long sentence).  These happy lovebirds tried to get away with not having an engagment session.  With a little arm twisting (ok not so much) and the promise of a quicky fun session, we met up this afternoon in historic downtown Winters.

Boy I’m glad we did…I’m in love with how their pictures turned out!

This afternoon I met up with this 2 week old cutie and her proud big sisters.  She weighed over 9 pounds at birth…a far cry from the little peanut I photographed yesterday!  Thanks so much for spending your morning with me ladies!

This morning I met up with this 6 day old bundle of freshness.  I was thrilled with mom and dad agreed to an outdoor session…something most new parents are wary about.  She is such a sweet heart…barely fussed, only peed once, and gave me a ton of precious smiles.

Last night I met up with a special client…special because she was one of the first clients I ever had.  It was so great to see you again and watch your family grow!

This one cracks me up because it took me three times to spell Robert’s name right.  Yup…three…don’t find the fact that my dad is named Robert and one of my boys claims it as a middle name.  I used to be blond as a kid…thats my excuse.

This evening I met up with one of my photographer friends from the Bay Area.  She did some family pictures for me and I did some headshot for her website.  It was a lot of fun working with a peer!

Sigh…can you tell her son has been in front of the camera way too much?  The life of a photographer’s child!

Four months can be a hard age to photograph.  They can’t sit up…have limited mobility…but boy do they make it up with their sweet demeanors and exuberant smiles!  Little “N” was no exception.  I think this is my favorite 4 month session I’ve had yet!  Thanks for meeting up with me this afternoon!!

Her cousin jumped in for a few shots at the end too…how cute are they?

Check out the eyes on these brothers…big, brown, and gorgeous!  We had three goals with this session:

1) shots of the boys (easy peasy)

img_8021web

2) a family shot (where hopefully there is no crying and everyone is paying attention)

img_8101web

3) a picture of both boys together (again, hopefully paying attention, not crying, etc)

Over all I think we had success!  The boys did awesome.  Thanks so much everyone!
