Yesterday afternoon the rain cleared up and clouds parted just in time for Nick and Erin’s engagement session. We took a walk around the arboretum and took advantage of the yummy light that happens right after a storm.
This little girl is so cute. She wasn’t very sleepy and wanted to be held, but we got some good shots in.

We ended the session with proud big brother. What a ham!

Yesterday afternoon the clouds parted and the lighting became magic for my senior session. She wanted lots of nature, so we headed to the redwoods section of the arboretum. First order of business was a few shots with the boyfriend.
And then the sisters. You may recognize the sister on the left from her senior session a few months ago.
Maybe I still have my recent cruise on the mind where I was bombarded with Titanic references, but doesn’t she look just like a young Kate Winslet? Gorgeous!

Wow! Thats all I can say about the blog contest. It was intense and I was worried for a while there about a 4 way tie! Votes were almost double what they’ve been in the past coming in at 467. Now comes the “see you later” part. I am currently posting from the balcony of my stateroom on the Oasis of the Seas. That’s right, I’m taking a cruise baby! We’ll be happily soaking up rays for an entire week. Please bear with me if I dont respond to emails and calls until after the 6th. And because what is a post without a picture…here is my view. We haven’t left port yet.

I LOVE numbers 1, 11, and 25. The lighting in #1 is so perfect. I love how #11 captures so many relationships in just one photo. Everyone feels comfortable and the shot is so cute! #25 makes me think you caught that little girl in action doing her thing. Her personality shines through!

I normally blog my sessions the same evening or day after they are done…so I’m sure this family has been anxiously waiting for these! For my last session of 2009, we started in Old Sac for some fun relaxed pictures around town, and then went back to their place for more formal portraits.
